Default Gateway Problem

I have two 1750 router with wic-2T card. and i have 4 X 64Kbps leased line.I have connect 2X64 Kbps on one router and 2 X64 on the other router. The other end of all the Leased line are connected to a 3662 router at the other end (i.e they all have a common destination).i want to use all the 4 links. I have a problem such that how do i specify the gateway on the nodes, since 2 routers will have different ethernet ip address.

Re: Default Gateway Problem

Hi Patrick

A possibility would be if you implement two

HSRP Groups. One Group is on one router aktive and

the other group on the second router. Now that allone does not help, you also have to devide the clients gateways and asingn one groube HSRP 1 adrees as the gateway and the other group HSRP 2 address.

Depends on the routing protocol but you also could create an link to balance the load between the routers. Then you just have to see that the 4 different way to the destination have the same metric/cost.

Hope that helps

Roger
