Can you please explain the command "default-value exec-character-bits 8"

An EXEC command is a command you send to the router like "show version" ...

When you connect to the router, you will type characters to execute a command.

Now, each character can be encoded in 7 or 8 bits.

The default is 7 bits.

Configuring the special character width to 8 bits allows you to add graphical and international characters in banners, prompts, and so forth.
