Deleting files from flash on a Cat4006

I'm currently running CatIOS ver 7.4.3 on a Catalyst 4006 and is trying to delete two images from the built-in flash on the switch and cannot. Here is the result:

4006-Right-S1> (enable) sho flash

-#- ED --type-- --crc--- -seek-- nlen -length- -----date/time------ name

1 .. ffffffff 84b0dfd 4281d4 17 4096340 Mar 22 2002 02:06:28 cat4000.6-2-2.bin

3 .. ffffffff 46a2ff41 cb00f0 20 4471868 Feb 24 2003 11:05:33 cat4000-k8.7-4-2.bin

4006-Right-S1> (enable)

4006-Right-S1> (enable) delete flash:cat4000.6-2-2.bin

Can not delete file on the device

4006-Right-S1> (enable)

I don't understand why the OS will not allow me to delete this file. Can someone explain to me why? Thanks.

Try "delete bootflash:cat4000.6-2-2.bin". Once you delete, do not forget to squeeze using "squeeze bootflash:"
