Detailed information for Cat4000 SE III

Hi,

who can help me finding more detailed technical information on the new Supervisor Engine III for the Catalyst 4000 platform?

Things of interest are: How is the backplane performance distributed in the chassis, how can i determine, if modules are overbooked, how is port priority...

Thanks in advance for hints.

Re: Detailed information for Cat4000 SE III

Hello Joachim,

You should find all you require at the following link:

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/cc/pd/si/casi/ca4000/prodlit/4kse3_ds.htm

This is the comprehensive data sheet for your requested Supervisor Enginer.

Hope this is OK.

Re: Detailed information for Cat4000 SE III

Thanks for the information, but it is not what i really have expected. For example: Your mentioned link says, that the switching fabric scales to 64Gbps. Where does this performance "sits in"? How is it distributed between the modules?

Or did those things depend on the line cards? I have to make some statements regarding performance issues with Cat4006 and SEIII and i need some clear information.
