DFC or CFC on 6500

I have a 6500 with a CFC daughter board on a 10GE line card, but the sh hard says its a DFC.

Has anyone seen this before?

Based upon the "Show Mod" output,Your Hardware Configuration looks like:

First Slot - SUP720 with PFC3B & MSFC3

Second Slot - WS-X6748-SFP with DFC3A

Third Slot - WS-X6704-10GE with CFC

Based on this, you have a Distributed Forwarding Card (DFC) for the 6748 module and Centralized Forwarding Card (CFC) for the 6704 module.

The only difference is that they add an extra board that will hold on board routing tables and the routing decisions are made at the card level instead of the cpu .
