DFM port filter problem

How the DFM put the switch ports (e.g. the 10/100 ports) into the different groups:

- Interface Groups//10/100Mb Ethernet

- Port Groups – Access Ports//10/100Mb Ethernet

- Port Groups – Trunk Ports//10/100Mb Ethernet

if in each 10/100Mb Ethernet group the matching criteria is the following:

- Type: *ETHER*|*CSMACD*

and there is no priority between the different groups.

I’m asking that because I found all the 10/100Mb ports in the Port Groups – Trunk Ports//10/100Mb Ethernet independently whether is this a trunk or not. There are ports where the PortType is ACCESS and they are also in the Port Groups – Trunk Ports//10/100Mb Ethernet group.

I’m using DFM 1.2 and IDU 1.2 as well as 2950-12T and 3550 switches.

This document below answers some of the very frequently asked questions on DFM. I am sure you will find some useful stuff here.
