I'm looking for some solution, which helps us integrate VMPS and DHCP services. Except of "standard DHCP features" (like static IP/MAC bindings) and Dynamic DNS updates I'd like:
- group segments and MAC to "administative groups"
- bind those "admin groups" together (so e.g. IP phone could get IP adrress only on segments belonging to "Voice" administrative group
- build a hierarchy of groups (so admin group " administrors' notebooks" is member of all groups and get IP address anyewhere)
- unauthorized MAC address doesn't get IP address
- dynamic VLANs
I'd like to see the solution based od SQL server, replicated (clutered or HW based) and ideally addressable by anycast (form clients' point of view).
I was serching several days, but I've found only partial sollutions. Do you have any idea what to look at?
