I have a large project to deploy 2950X-XX switches at a large number of remote sites. I would like to use AUTOINSTALL to have DHCP to assign temporary IP Address to the switch while replacing the old device. While testing, Ive noticed the DHCP Request during the AUTOINSTALL is not constant. It seems to take anywhere between 4 to 20 minutes to obtain a DHCP address. Do anyone know how to shorten this time or a command that can be use to manually request a DHCP address. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. See the following for switch model and version of IOS:
