DHCP Request for Catalyst 2950X-XX Switches

I have a large project to deploy 2950X-XX switches at a large number of remote sites. I would like to use AUTOINSTALL to have DHCP to assign temporary IP Address to the switch while replacing the old device. While testing, I’ve noticed the DHCP Request during the AUTOINSTALL is not constant. It seems to take anywhere between 4 to 20 minutes to obtain a DHCP address. Do anyone know how to shorten this time or a command that can be use to manually request a DHCP address. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. See the following for switch model and version of IOS:

During the autoinstall process there is no way to force a DHCP request. DHCP is broadcast, but through the use of things such as ip helper, it is very possible it is having to traverse several devices, both ways. The time you mentioned doesn’t sound unreasonable under those circumstances.
