DHCP server that updates internal DNS host table

Does anyone know how to configure a Cisco router so that when a PC is assigned an IP address from its DHCP server, it will create an entry in its internal DNS host table (show host) based on the hostname provided in the DHCP request?

I've already tried using the following commands:

ip dhcp update dns both override

ip ddns update method

The router doesn't seem to understand that it is the authoritative DNS server for the client PCs, so it queries the upstream DNS server.

I'd greatly appreciate any help you can give me.
