DHCP Server vs VLANs on the 6509 MSFCII

With a 6509 + MSFC and many VLANs, is possible to configure a DHCP pool for each VLAN on the 6509?

Situation:

VLAN1 ip x.y.a.0 /24

VLAN2 ip x.y.b.0 /24

VLAN3 ip x.y.c.0 /24

VLAN4 ip x.y.d.0 /24

...

each VLANs must have their own DHCP server scope on the 6509 MSFC.

If the configuration on the MSFC is like:

!

interface VLAN1 ip address 172.16.23.254 /24

!

interface VLAN2 ip address 172.16.24.254 /24

interface VLAN... ip address ...

!

ip dhcp pool 0

network 172.16.23.0 /24

domain-name cisco.com

default-router 172.16.23.254

dns-server 172.16.23.1 172.16.23.2

netbios-name-server 172.16.23.3 172.16.23.4

netbios-node-type h-node

!

ip dhcp pool 1

network 172.16.24.0 /24

default-router 172.16.24.254

!

ip dhcp poll ...

How the Catalyst 6509 associate the pools to the VLANs ?

The association of the DHCP POLL vs VLAN is made on the IP ?

(maybe the network ip of the pool and the ip of the interface VLAN are in the same subnet host address range ?)

Thanks in advance.

You are correct, it associates the network configuration in the pool to the IP address of the interface.
