DHCP UDP packet is not forward.

Recently, I configured some security options on my routers.

- disabled Bootp service w/ command "no bootp server"

- disabled redirect w/ command "no ip redirect"

- disabled ip directed-broadcast w/ command "no ip directed-broadcast"

Then, DHCP client could not be assigned IP address.

So, I returned old config. but i don't know yet what command occured ?

DHCP is an extension of BOOTP so i would guess "no bootp server" was the command that did it.

Why do you think so? What function of BOOTP do ? If bootp were enabled, the "ip helper" command is not needed to forward DHCP packets ? I don't think so. I'm confused.
