DHCP with manual bindings

I have a Catalyst 3550-12G with the following configuration (DHCP with manual bindings)

!

!

interface Vlan50

description Vlan Temporanea

ip address 10.9.50.1 255.255.255.0

!

!

ip dhcp excluded-address 10.9.50.1

ip dhcp excluded-address 10.9.50.7 10.9.50.254

!

!

ip dhcp pool TEMP3

host 10.9.50.3 255.255.255.0

hardware-address 0002.3f11.d4b2

default-router 10.9.50.1

dns-server 10.191.255.61

domain-name comitato.torino2006.it

!

DHCP doesn't work and I receive the following log messages:

...

Why DHCP with manual bindings doesn't work?

Thanks

Re: DHCP with manual bindings

Hi Stefano,

Config looks to be fine. Can you remove "hardware-address" command and try this

client-identifier 0100.023f.11d4.b2

I hope the clinets are Microsoft Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) client

Give a shot with this command instead of hardware address and update if it works.

Regards,

Ankur
