Hello how are you all doing? Hope all is well. I hope I am at the right place for this question.
I work for roadrunner highspeed online help desk. Our residential customers go online via our cable modems which issue a dynamic ip address.
Is there any way of determining what the cable modems ip address is, given the leased dynamic address.
The reason I ask is because I have come across instances where some individuals configure a dynamic ip statically thereby creating problems for those who try to lease that particular dynamic ip.
Thank you.

You can check the MAC address and router port that's associated with the IP address with the "show arp" or "show ip arp" command on the router.
You'll need a table that shows each customer's cable modem MAC addr to identify it. Sometimes the MAC address is the same as the box serial#.
Hope it helps.
Regards,
Alexandre
