Diable CEF into a 3550 L3

HEllo,

Is it possible to completely disable CEF on a 3550 Layer 3.

The command no ip cef is "Disable on this platform" and when I put the command "no ip route-cache cef" on the interface layer 3, I have always entry in the table "sh ip cef".

The same think after a reboot.

I want to try a test without the CEF because I've got a problem with a backup between 2 3550.

Thank You.

Bye

It is not possible to turn it off CEF on a 3550. What problem are you facing?

CEF is most likely is not a problem. 3550 uses CEF along with hardware forwarding to get the best performance possible. Please open a TAC case for furhter assistance.
