Dial-back on RAS server

We are implimenting RAS solution CISCO 26XX router with CISCO Secure ACS software.

We need to have dial-back option on to a client specified telephone number (dynamically).

What is the client software that can be used to achieve this ?

Re: Dial-back on RAS server

Microsoft supports callback; not sure what

other client code you would be interested in,

but MS is certainly the most prevalent and

it's (callback) already built in.

Re: Dial-back on RAS server

Actually its not so much a matter of client software. when using a cisco as a ras server, you can have it to support callback to any sort of clients wich supports this. I.E ISDN pc clients, modem clients, router and even when using data over GSM.

Its a good idea combining the RAS with a RADIUS for providing authentication and authorization.

At TAC you will find several articals about this.

Here's a link to a dokument that can be a place to start.

http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/707/32.html

If you follows the links in the Related Information part, you will find much more information about how to implement RADIUS.

You migth feel that this wasent what you was looking for, then I can recomend this dokument :

http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/480/pppcallback_rad.html

If you needs a cheap radius to start testing with, the service are includet in Windows 2000 Server. Its not the absolutly best RADIUS, but it's ok to start with.
