dial backup problem

We have two 1700 routers and leased line connection,and we want to make a back up our primary connection with us robotics dial modems,we had a configuration bottom on this sheet.what was wrong in our configuration?when we make down primary link,dial in progress never dial after this?what we should do?

Re: dial backup problem

A few things jump out at me:

1. In the first router, you have not configured an IP address on interface Async5

2. The first router has no dialer list on Async5. Not necessary if the second router will place all calls.

3. No dialer string on Async5 of the first router. Again, not necessary if the second router is placing all calls.

4. Neither router has a route pointing traffic over its Async5 interface, so traffic will never be directed over either interface.
