Dial out restriction by time

Is it possible to restrict ISDN dial out in an hourly basis ?

(ie. only dial out from 18:00 to 08:00)

Thanks in advance.

Re: Dial out restriction by time

Hi.

I've never done that, but...

Just an idea...If you do a dialer-list that references an ACL which has a certain time-range specified it may work...

Hope it helps.

Re: Dial out restriction by time

this is what we use, the only thing you have to make sure of is that the time etc is set correctly on your router

interface BRI0

ip address xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

ip directed-broadcast

encapsulation ppp

dialer idle-timeout 180

dialer string xxxxxxxxxxx

dialer hold-queue 75

dialer load-threshold 190 either

dialer-group 1

isdn switch-type basic-net3

no fair-queue

no cdp enable

ppp authentication chap

ppp multilink

!

access-list 101 deny ip any host 255.255.255.255

access-list 101 permit ip any any time-range only-dial-in-office-hours

access-list 101 permit ip any any

dialer-list 1 protocol ip list 101

time-range only-dial-in-office-hours

absolute start 00:00 01 January 2001

periodic weekdays 8:30 to 18:30

hope this helps
