dialer idle time = connection time

When I dial up from a Windows or Macintosh client (ISDN/PPP) to a

dialer interface the dialer idle timer is increased from the time the connection was established regardless data is transmitted/received or not (connection time = idle time).

If I use a Cisco router instead the idle timer works correctly.

So you are saying that the idle

timer ticks down, even when the

MS/MAC is sending/receiving interesting

traffic? In that case, you would

want to check your access-lists

first to confirm what is being declared

interesting; "debug dialer packet"

would show you this per packet as well

(careful, it is verbose).

Please ensure that you are running recent

coee, too.
