Dialer profile problem

Hi,

I'm using dialer profiles in a branch office BRI int. for VPN dial-backup.

The dialer profile is dialing successfully, but I'm not able to pass traffic over it .

I can't even ping the other side.

the config is something like this:

------------------

interface BRI0/0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

dialer pool-member 1

dialer pool-member 2

isdn switch-type basic-net3

isdn incoming-voice data

no fair-queue

no cdp enable

ppp authentication pap

!

!

interface Dialer0 (dial-out interface)

ip address 192.168.10.3 255.255.255.0

encapsulation ppp

no ip route-cache

no ip mroute-cache

dialer pool 1

dialer idle-timeout 300

dialer string XXXXXXXX

dialer hold-queue 10

dialer watch-group 10

dialer-group 1

no fair-queue

no cdp enable

ppp authentication pap

ppp pap sent-username wwwww password xxxxxxx

!

interface Dialer1 (dial-in interface)

ip unnumbered Ethernet0/0

encapsulation ppp

dialer pool 2

dialer remote-name XXXXXXX

dialer idle-timeout 180

peer default ip address pool setup_pool

ppp authentication pap

!

ip route 192.168.10.2 255.255.255.255 Dialer0 (route to the peer of Dia0)

!

-----------------

what am I missing (to be exact, what's the equivalent of dialer map ip ..... broadcast with dialer profiles.

Any clues?

thanx

Re: Dialer profile problem

Try to configure "dialer remote-name " with the name of the other side router under the "interface dailer 0"..If you can't still ping it, need to have following from the router

debug dialer

debug ppp negotiation

debug ppp authentication

debug isdn q931

Thanks..Tejal
