Hi,

Is it possible for the the 801 to accept incomming HSDSC or analogue calls?

I have installed the rcapi supported IOS (12.0(7)XV) and it works using my

mobile to communicate with the rvs-com software. But what i really want to achive is that incomming calls will be accepted regardless if it is ISDN, HSDSC or

analogue and that the traffic is getting routed on the LAN to an Exchange

mail server, so the users can access their mailboxes.

Is it possible to acheive on this router or do i need a different router

with a modem connected to the AUX port or a MICA module?

Really in need for some feedback here, so any tips or configs would be

extremly appreciated.

Best regards from Eirik

Ealim,

having a c801-capi you might configure RVS-com to accept incoming calls (both analog or digital) but you cannot terminate them on the router. If you use RVSCOM to accept the incoming call, the machine running it has to handle the routing.

To handle incoming analog calls you need an access server with mica modems and appropriate WIC's for ISDN
