dialin to switch-console

Hi !

I am trying to dialin to a CAT6000 switch console via a modem line.

I configured the modem - using hyperterminal - f.e.: to answer incoming calls, disable flow-control and so on.

If I try to call the modem it answers the call - everything seems to be fine !

If I connect the Console of the switch to the modem instead of the COM-Port of the PC - the modem does NOT answer the call.

Could anybody please tell me why the call isn`t processed `?

Hi Mark !

I used this manual - but without success !

I tried again with dialing in to a console of a C2600 Router - This was fine ! but connecting the modem to the switch - call isn`t processed again

I don`t know WHY ?
