DialOut Redundancy

Hello,

I use cisco's DialOut utility using 2 AS5300's. I'm trying to figure out a way to set up failover redundancy. Since the DialOUT client only allows you to specify one IP address of hostname of the As5300, I do not know how to set up failover to point to my other 5300 if that the current one goes down. Is there a way to set up a DNS alias or something that can include all the possible AS5300's that the client can point to? This way if one IP address does not respond, the client will use the next ip address associated with this alias?

You could use DNS to load balance, but that would have to be accomplished on your DNS server. You could also try using HSRP on the 5300's, and use the virtual address on Dialout.
