Re: Did anybody see the router C801 S/T working with a switch IS

issue the command;

show isdn status

If all is OK you should see:

Global ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

ISDN BRI0 interface

dsl 0, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

Layer 1 Status:

ACTIVE

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 116, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 0 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x80000003

Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 0

Total Allocated ISDN CCBs = 0

#

Notice the Layer 1 and 2 status. This tells you that the ISDN line is working. This was taken from an 801 running c800-y6-mw.122-7.bin.

Otherwise try

debug isdn q921

debug isdn q931

and check the debugs when trying to place a call.

Following link is worth a read too.

We did put together the pins 1&2; 3&4 at J6 and layer 1 it was active. I remind that already changed of router. In both cases the router is only with the layer 1 it activates. We made tests with the router C2522 and C2520 using the same configuration and everything works usually.
