Celestica is a worldwide company . Currently at four locations we have Ciscoworks up and running. I would like to run these systems in a distributed mode that is each one controlling or monitoring a portion of the globe but yet have the databases shared/duplicated so we look like a single management unit. Is this possible ? If so how ?
The quick answer is, No. Currently CiscoWorks is not designed as a distributed application like you want to use it. You'll have to manually sync the databases of all your CW2K servers if you want to run it in this manner.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
