My W2k Dns is assigned a static address and the DHCP client has been stopped in the services control manager, but it is still leasing all of the address in its subnet from my IOS DHCP server. The address pool only has 10 available addresses. Here is what shows up in the bindings database:
IP address 10.11.12.xxx
Hardware address 0152.4153.2000.065b.88b5.d600.0005.0000.00
Lease Feb 04 2004 01:35 PM Automatic
"0006.5b88.b5d6" is my DNS mac
I cant ping these address either.

It sounds like the W2K server is configured to be a RAS server.

I believe I may have fixed this yesterday. W2K domain servers actually look for non authorized DHCP servers on their domain, I authorized my Cisco DHCP server on the domain server, even though Microsoft said this doesnt apply to non Windows DHCP server's and my problem has gone away.
