DNS Redirect - Need Help

I am a novice.

How do I determine if the a web site's DNS entry is being redirected at the router level? We have Cisco 3600 router IOS v. 11.1 (20) AA2 configured as a BGP router. I added the "no ip redirects" command to the fast ethernet interface. All suggestions welcomed.

Re: DNS Redirect - Need Help

'no ip redirect ' has nothing to do with DNS entries. This command is for ICMP redirects.

I dont think your router has anything to do with DNS. However, a resolved address may be going somewhere that site doesn't exist.

Thanks.

Re: DNS Redirect - Need Help

When I type www.xyz.com it points to the correct web site, but when I type xyz.com it points to the wrong site. I checked all of the web server and DNS settings. I was wondering if the router may have been spoofed.

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Re: DNS Redirect - Need Help

Do an 'nslookup' on www.xyz.com and xyz.com and compare the results. It's almost certainly a DNS configuration issue.
