Do 3548 switches support private vlans?

Do 3548 and 3524 switches support private vlans, apart from protected edge ports.

I can only find info that says the new 3550 switches do private vlans and port based access lists. I can find no documentation stating that 3548's and 3524's do not support private vlans.

Only Edge (Protected) Ports are supported on the XLs
