Documenting in a spreadsheet or database circuits, IP addresses, etc.

I'm curious if you guys have your own home grown database or spreadsheet that lists all your circuits, PVCs, DLCIs, router serial #s, LAN & WAN IP addresses, and everything else necessary to manage your WAN.

I don't need Visio (I do but I use that for visual stuff obviously). I need something in which I can give to management that says we have x many # of sites with 56k port speeds and x many sites with 128k CIRs.

Any examples or templates would be great if you care to share them!

Thanks!

Re: Documenting in a spreadsheet or database circuits, IP addres

I'm going to be working on the same sort of project for my company this year. I've decided to go with an HTML format so that our NOC and Help Desk groups can quickly and easily access the info via our intranet to assist in troubleshooting. Our big problem has been that the documentation we currently have is scattered among many sources and in varied formats which makes it difficult to use.
