Does 3745 support IPSEC 56?????

The 3700 Q & A says that 56 bit encryption is not supported because there are no longer export controls on 3DES.

Q. Why is 56 bit encryption not supported?

A. There are no longer export or import requirements in Cisco's major markets that dictate the need for 56bit (DES) encryption in lieu of 168 bit (3DES) encryption.

This seems fairly explicit but I have been told that the latest 3DES IOS supports DES also. Does anyone know exactly what the truth is?

If the statement above means to say that the 3DES IOS supports 56 bit as well, it's very badly worded.

It's true, support for 3DES in IOS includes the support for 56-bit encryption. I checked in the 12.2(13)T for 3725 and 3745 and as you said it supports both.
