Cisco 2620 Router in London with ISDN PRI interface is unable to established layer 2 connection to Telco Switch configure with DASS2 signaling protocol. Router currenty is running 12.1.5(T8) IOS.

Do, I need to have the Telco change the signaling protocol to Q931 on the Switch or is there an special IOS that need to be load on the Cisco 2620 in to for it to support DASS2. Thanks in advance

we had the same problem, you have to get the telco to config for q931(in future just ask for isdn30e and it is done straight away). also just for info, if you didn't know, cisco doesn't do dpnss it only does qsig (an iiq2000 will do the conversion if pbx doesn't do qsig)

hope this helps
