Hi All,

In PIX, when use ipsec to connect to vpn client, there is a "split-tunnel"command so that the client just use the ipsec tunnel for the internal traffic. But for router, I search cisco web site (because I have on routers in my side now) I can not find the command. can router split tunnel when connect to vpn client?

Thank You!

Best Regards

Teru Lei

Hi Teru,

you can do split tunneling in IOS router too. You can write an ACL to specify the interesting traffic. This interesting traffic is encrypted and the traffic that doesnt match the ACL is not encrypted. Check the example configuration below :

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/tech/tk583/tk642/technologies_configuration_example09186a00800a393b.shtml#split

hope this helps...
