Does policing drop packets in order of IP Precedence?

If I specify policing on an ATM sub-interface will it just drop any non-confirming packets or will it preferentially drop those with the lowest IP Precedence value.

Re: Does policing drop packets in order of IP Precedence?

Policing will drop the non confirming packets what

ever the IP precedence is.

Then (after policing) the packet will go to a queue for transmission.

If the interface queue is WFQ, and the interface is congested,

then the packets with the highest precedence will have more priority then normal packets.
