Does redistribution into OSPF need to be done in Area 0 only?

I am have some problems with redistribution between OSPF and BGP. We have the EBGP peers working fine, and i see the neighbours and BGP table entries in the router that i want. On my inside network I see the routes from the outside network no problem. The problem is with my internal network addresses being propagated into outside network.

In OSPF does the redis have to be going on within Area 0 only? Is there a way that we could be having our external OSPF routes being blocked by our OSPF neighbor before they pass along to the rest of the outside network?

Any idea on this would be helpful

With OSPF you can redistribute in any Area. These

links become externals which are flooded throughout

the OSPF domain. By default, OSPF will not redistribute

externals into BGP to avoid routing loops. You'll need

to use the following command:

redistribute ospf 1 match external 1 external 2

Alternatively, you could use a network/mask statement

under router bgp which exactly matches the routing table

entry. This is the preferred method.
