Does Spam effect spanning tree

I have a port which monitors all other ports in the 6506 switch. I have given the command Set Spam . I want to know whether it effects the spanning tree in any way.

I am sorry for the mistake it is span not spam...I have given the command set span.

As long as you're sure to connect only an end station to it, it is no problem at all. STP won't care if it is there.
