does virtual-link when configured, needs to have both end-points advertised into the the intermediate Area?

Having an Ospf Network, area 0 is connected with area 1. WE now connect another router on area1 belonging to area 0.

We are going to create a Virtual-link.

Does the two area 0 routers need to use as

link ip addresses, from the area 1 router?

Or any address will work?

Any different IP address will work, just remember that transit area must have complete and full routing information. To simplify configuration and summary address issues, i do not recommend partioning the backbone (area 0).
