Instead of pressing enter to start, you may want to assume it is sitting at the login prompt. So, just type in your logon info and press enter to see if it takes it.
Otherwise, use the console port, maybe that will help. If you are already, get the lost password procedure from CCO and follow it. You'll probably need to blow away the config, but that may get you in. You can also see it by doing SH START, and copy it out into a text file.
