Can anyone tell me why we have to have a dial in address on our radius server for our dsl lines, the ip of the dsl router would be say 172.28.101.1, and the ip on the radius would be 172.28.101.2, why do we do this ?

I think the dial in address id for the radius server administrator's to administrator or configure some changes into the radius server from a remote location. They can remotely administer this radius server through this dial in address.

Also, a aaa client(a router or a vpn concentrator etc which communicates with the radius server for authentication) should be specified with the ip address of that radius server.
