DSLAMs Connected to 7206VXR Aggregator's IMA Card Get Lost

Hello there,

I have a 7206VXR that acts as an aggregator for several Cisco DSLAMs through an STM-1 port and an 8xE1 IMA port; OSPF is the running protocol. I had several incidents recently where those DSLAMs connected to the IMA card seemed to get detached from the IP network. The links were up and the remote DSLAMs never shut down. I checked the logs and nothing seemed to indicate the cause of the problem. The mem and CPU processes were also ok. The DSLAMs come back, however, after physically plugging out and back in again the links from their respective ports OR by SW-resetting (using shut/no shut) the respective interface.

Anyone who knows why it happens? Any idea how can this be fixed? The thing is that it usually happens to those DSLAMs connected to the IMA card though I had one incident that even the one connected to the STM-1 port got disconnected as well.

Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks in advance.

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
