Dual nic's

For fault tolerance I would like to have 2 nics on 1 box attached to seperate switches. Will this cause any problems? Two of the servers are WEB servers, so there may be some session state issues? DO I need to have them on different subnets?

Depends, depends, depends...

The fault tolerance (unless you are using etherchannel or 802.3ad) is completely up to the NIC and Operating System. Just having 2 NICs without any special configuration on those NIC will NOT usually provide any redundancy.

It all depends on OS being used, for Eg: NT/Win2K has special S/W that creates a virtual bundle with one logical address.

Sum OS like linux/Solaris can ahve multple NIC's on different subnets/VLAN's that provide load balancing.
