Duplicate IP MAC

I was just wondering if you had any idea's as to why we are getting duplicate IP addresses on our servers when it is really the IP and mac address of that server. We know this because the IP and MAC addresses

reported as duplicate, are the actual server's NIC details.

This is not a DHCP issue and not a server issue. It has to be related to the switching infrastructure.

Problem for me is everything is working normally, actually very well, and no issues are occuring besides this.

I think it's got something to do with either spanning tree (unlikely) or VLAN VTP issues??

I've checked, 1 vtp server exists and the rest are clients.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

It indicates a spanning tree loop. The server is seeing its own packets coming back to it.
