My friend just set up his router on dyndns.org so it updates the site when his wan ip address changes, this was a feature on his router. How would I do this on my cisco 800 series, how do I map this so the router updates dyndns ?
thanks

As I know the dynamic DNS is not the host and not router. Why do you want to make the router to have dynmaic DNS ? You want people to connect to your router by DNS ?

Hi There
my router has a dsl connection that gets a different ip each time my router is rebooted so the mappings from a name to ip are never the same, dyn dns matches the new ip to the name specified, by question is how can i make my router let this be known ? do I just add dyn dns as one of my dns servers in my router ?
cheers
Carl

Sorry for misunderstood the case. Below is the link related to DDNS in Cisco. I did not try it, so can't tell how to make it works. Hope this helps.
