E1 config

Hi,

I'm getting confused with alot of terms associated with E1 configuration.I know that E1 consists of 32 channels of 64k.but I'm seeing some different

configurations of E1 like ;

i) pri-group timeslots 1-31

ii) channel-group 1 timeslots 1-31

iii) pri-group timeslot 1-6

What is the difference between the above and what is

basically a timeslot.

European PRI is a 31B+D. These are timeslots. Out of these 31 you can use, say 1-6, for some purpose (data) and rest for others (voice)

In your question, 1-31 and 1-6 refer to timeslots.
