E1 Controller with Deutsche Telekom Digital2MS

We have a FE-2CE1-B/U module in a Cisco 3620.

We use the Router as a access-server. Connected clients lose sporadically the connection. Also the lines are sometimes busy without any client connected.

We think we must configure the module in balanced mode.

When we set the jumper on the module for balanced mode the line is down.

In unbalanced mode it works with the failures described before.

What could be the problem??

Re: E1 Controller with Deutsche Telekom Digital2MS

Make sure that you have the modem pool configured correctly for the clients connecting.

The problem of line geting busy is normally due to the configuration issue of the E1 controller card in the module.

If it is not configured properly it will give you an engaged tone or busy tone when you try to dial in.

Normally the idle time out and session time out in the channelised E1 will be the issue.

So it would be better to check the configuration of E1 controller.
