EIGRP Authentication

I need to configure EIGRP route autentication similar to OSPF authentication. I couldn't find enough docs on CCO but there's one docs shows that I need to configure two keys on one router, can someone tell why we need two keys and if I really need to use "accept lifetime' or "send lifetime commands"

or if someone has a sampe config.

Each key used in EIGRP has its own key identifier , which is stored locally. The combination of the key identifier and the interface associated with the message uniquely identifies the authentication algorithm and MD5 authentication key in use.
