If you want to summarize a route (10.66.32.0 255.255.224.0) using the interface ip summary-address command at one accessrouter can you summarize a portion of that same range from another access router (10.66.60.0 255.255.252.0)? Technically the latter range falls into the first range. Would this cause problems?
Normally, packets will be routed to the most specific route. Hence this should not cause problems. However, there is always a risk with manual summarization. If these are set up incorrectly there is a risk of creating a routing loop or packets being routed to a wrong destination where they are subsequently discarded.
