EIGRP auto-summary question..

If you want to summarize a route (10.66.32.0 255.255.224.0) using the interface ip summary-address command at one accessrouter can you summarize a portion of that same range from another access router (10.66.60.0 255.255.252.0)? Technically the latter range falls into the first range. Would this cause problems?

Re: EIGRP auto-summary question..

Normally, packets will be routed to the most specific route. Hence this should not cause problems. However, there is always a risk with manual summarization. If these are set up incorrectly there is a risk of creating a routing loop or packets being routed to a wrong destination where they are subsequently discarded.

Re: EIGRP auto-summary question..

This shouldn't cause any problems, as long as your addresses actually are in those places.
