EIGRP over async links (Dial-Backup)

Hi,

I have two office linked by frame relay cloud. They are running EIGRP, and they have configurated dial-backup over PSTN, but I can't propagate routes via EIGRP on dial-backup link.

Thanks...

Not a good Idea, The updates will keep the link up.

Either use OSPF (Specific commands to cope with this scenario) or

a weighted static route.

Dear Nell

I need use eigrp over Dial backup because my network operate with this protocol, and this dial backup can be connect with two diferent RAS.

Assuming this is an async backup link, did you remember the "async default routing" statement in the async interface? See the white paper on router to router backup using the AUX port on my web site at (http://www.networkingunlimited.com/white006.html) and see what you are missing. You can ignore all the IPX stuff, of course, unless you also need IPX support.

Good luck and have fun!
