EIGRP: redistrubuting and default-metric

There is something I don't understand in the Cammand Reference :

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fiprrp_r/1rfeigrp.htm#wp1017526.

Under the Usage Guidelines, it says "A default metric is required to redistribute a protocol into IGRP or EIGRP, unless you use the redistribute command." I have looked under the redistribute command, but I cannot see a way to specify an EIGRP metric, only an OSPF one.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122cgcr/fiprrp_r/ind_r/1rfindp2.htm#wp39817

Am I reading the document wrong?

Kevin,

Dont you see under the eigrp process -

(say redistributing OSPF to EIGRP)

redistribute ospf 100 metric B D R L M

Thanks. I should have tried it on a lab router; I'll do that next time I have access to one. I was working just from the doc.

In that case it is the doc entry for redistribute that confused me, because it only mentions the keyword metric for OSPF and a single metric, and not redistibution into EIGRP with its multiple metrics. I'll try and check it out for real this evening.

Thanks again.
