eigrp stub network command

I have many stub networks and decided to use the "eigrp stub connected" command. I am set with no auto summary and ip classless also. My question is: why do is still still a complete listing of routes when I do a "show ip route". I did a "clear ip route *" and i still see all the routes. Any ideas?? Also I am running ios 12.1.4.

I do not exactly know what this stub command will do and how the routing table

Yes, i have read that article but it does not explain why i am still seeing a total route list. Good article though. Thanks!!
