I have many sites that are connected back to the a host via frame relay and run at 64K. I am using eigrp with no auto summary. Would it be to my benefit to add the command: eigrp stub connected. Exactly what will happen. Will I still receive updates from all my other networks still? not sure about this command. I would like to eliminate unnecesary traffic on those stub links.
EIGRP stub feature simply disables EIGRP queries to the stub routers to get a Feasible Successor for a lost route. Reducing the scope of the EIGRP Query range is a good thing for performance and would limit unneeded traffic from your links, as you mentioned. You would still learn about your spoke router routes from the core of your network even with the stub feaure enabled.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
