Enhanced FlexWAN Module

I have an Enhanced FlexWAN module in a 6509. I need to swap out one of the port adapters. What part of this is hot-swappable? Can the PA's be removed while the mod is in and switch on? Or is just the mod removable?

Hi,

6509 will support Online insertion and removal (OIR) of module. But Could u tell me what port adapater exactly u want to hot swap???

Based on my memory from a couple of years ago when I was working with FlexWan the FlexWan card should be hot swappable. The PA is not. (But how would you get to the PA without taking the FlexWan out of the chassis?)

So let me get this straight, I can remove the FlexWAN module while the '09 is on. Then remove the 4T1 PA while the mod is out. Right?

I never actually did it, but I believe that you are correct. You should be able to remove the FlexWax while the switch is running. And then removing the PAs with the card out of the switch obviously would work.
